Jason Harper was born in Boston, MA, where he began his award-winning television career.

Always highly motivated, he embraced an opportunity to begin directing television at a young age when the Director of a daily newscast for KBLE-TV13 unexpectedly had to leave just before a broadcast.  As a production assistant, Jason stepped in and directed the newscast.  He was then asked to continue with the station as a Director from that day on.

Soon afterwards, Jason began freelancing in the Boston area with several production houses and network affiliates.  He Produced/Directed documentaries, music videos, several magazine format segments, and an award-winning cable series about Olympic champions from New England.

With continuously growing aspirations, Jason relocated to the Orlando, Florida area and began working for the Walt Disney Company.  For many years he enjoyed the resources and opportunities that Disney provided as one of the leaders in the entertainment industry.   Jason has Produced and Directed television and video for many areas of Disney: Creative Entertainment, Walt Disney Imagineering, Disney Development Company, Euro Disney, Disneyland, Disney/MGM Studios, WDW Marketing, Feature Animation, Disney Cruise Lines… and many others.  Jason continues to work with the Walt Disney Company as a freelance Producer and Senior Instructor for the Disney Institute.

Soon afterwards, Jason began working in California with another giant in the entertainment industry, Viacom.  As the Producer and Director for what was supposed to have been a 6-week promotional experiment for Nickelodeon, Jason took a live television show for children and helped turn it into a national hit that maintained a #1 rating status for four straight years.  “Slimetime Live” - a game, music and variety show - set the standard by which similar shows are now measured.

Always seeking to practice his craft and expand his horizons, Jason stays active in many other projects.  As the President of Ukrainian Project Fund – Jason helps manage a non-profit organization that aids the country of Ukraine through medical supply shipments, maintaining orphanage facilities, and promoting Ukrainian awareness through media.  As a multi-lingual freelance Producer/Director, Videographer and Consultant, Jason has worked throughout the world for a variety of government and corporate clients - which include: U.S. Air Force, Defense Intelligence Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration, March of Dimes, City of Orlando, State of Arizona, Microsoft, Nintendo, Darden Restaurants, Nikon, Tupperware, PartyLite, Princess House, Envirotech, and many others.

Education and affiliations include:  Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute, New England Producer’s Association, Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.  Awards and nominations include: New England EMMY, Cable Ace, FMPTA “Crystal Reel”,  A.T.A.S. 

Jason's hobbies and interests include Martial Arts (Aiki Ju Jitsu - Rokudan), Rock Climbing, Photography, Ancient History, and Poetry.   He speaks, reads and writes English, Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian; some German, Japanese and Afrikaans.
